Being famous is not easy!!

Zoom is having immense growth and in another way, researchers and journalists have scrutinized the app and found multiple security and privacy risks. People are realizing the free app might come with the cost of giving up their personal data. Again we have been told nothing is free and you have to pay something to get their services. Zoom itself confirmed several breaches and privacy violations that force the company to announce a 90-day freeze on releasing new features and instead it promises to focus on fixing the privacy and security issue.

Is Zoom safe to use?

Zoom had some security issues – one of which can be used to steal Windows passwords, and another two that can be used to take over a Zoom user’s Mac and tap into the webcam and microphone. Zoom was also alleged for selling user data. Zoom takes a step forward and has taken accountability for many of its security and privacy failings, which is always a positive step and resolved many of the issues.

If you are an individual or a small company, a teacher, or a presenter who is doing a webinar then zoom is fine for you. If you are working for a government, health sector or any confidential matters zoom is not the right software for you. As long as you are not sharing the confidential data you are fine with zoom, you can keep using it.
